Groups records into bars and keeps the groups you click. You choose what to group by; the data decides which groups there are.
| Port | Side | What it carries |
|---|---|---|
records | In | The records to group and cut — transactions or invoices. |
comparison | In | Optional records drawn beside the main bars in the same groups, or numbers drawn as reference lines. |
filtered | Out | The records in the groups you picked — all of them while nothing is picked. |
What you choose
What the records are grouped by, and which groups you want.
The grouping is chosen on the axis: any column the records carry — counterparty, account, type — and a few Fluidly works out for you when the records allow it: Income / Expenses, Weekday, and on a bank statement Category and Bank costs. On the other axis, choose whether a bar measures the amount or the number of records.
Click a bar to keep it; click more to keep several. The menu at the top of the card names what is kept and clears it.
What Fluidly decides
- The groups. They come from the records, largest first. Past sixty, the smallest are folded into one other bar — nothing leaves the totals, only the drawing. A different cap is set on the card.
- The cut. Only whole records are kept or left out; no number changes its meaning. Running balances on each side are recalculated from the records' own opening balance.
Nothing picked passes everything. A pick that matches no records passes nothing on.
Shapes
Bars by default. Choose Ring / Strip on the card and the same groups are drawn as shares: a ring on a squarish card, a strip on a long one — the card's shape decides. Size decides angle; outflows are drawn in red, so a large payment out and a large payment in look equally large and plainly different. Range shows each group's smallest to largest record instead of its total.
Example
Bank Account → Category → Timeline, grouped by Income / Expenses with Expenses picked: what went out, month by month.
