Payment run
Lays your unpaid invoices out on a calendar. Drag each to the day you mean to pay it; hold back the ones you won't.
| Port | Side | What it carries |
|---|---|---|
what to slide | In | The invoices to plan — usually the unpaid supplier invoices from your ERP. |
out | Out | The invoices on the days you chose, without the ones held out of the run. |
changes | Out | One record per invoice you moved or held, with what it was and what it is now. |
What you choose
The days. Everything else is the ledger's.
Each invoice is a block on its due date, stacked by day, biggest nearest the axis. Then:
- Drag a block sideways to move the payment to another day. It leaves a faint ghost on the day it came from, so you can see how far it went. The arrow keys nudge a picked invoice one day at a time.
- Drag it down into the tray, or press Delete, to hold it out of the run. Click it in the tray to put it back on its day.
- Reset returns every invoice to the ledger's dates — after asking first.
Weekends are shaded. Point at a block and the head of the card names the supplier, the amount and how far it has moved. An invoice in a currency other than the rest of the run is marked.
What Fluidly decides
Where every invoice belongs before you touch it: on its real date, in its real year. An invoice from 2024 still open in the ledger appears in 2024, and the calendar stretches to reach it — that is the point; it is the invoice you should be asking about. Only show future dates, on the card when you open it with the pencil, hides the past from view without changing what goes out.
If the invoices carry more than one date — issued, due, paid — a choice in the corner says which one the calendar runs on.
Your moves follow each invoice by its number when the ledger refreshes. If the invoices have no number, the card says so: a changed invoice then loses its move.
What it does not do
A Payment run plans. It sends your chosen dates downstream as ordinary records; it does not instruct a bank.
Example
ERP (unpaid supplier invoices) → Payment run → Forecast → Timeline: the cash you expect to have, day by day, if you pay suppliers when you have decided to rather than when they asked — with changes → Table as the list to hand to whoever makes the payments.
