Set Label
Writes a label on every record — from one of its own columns, or a word of your own — so the points are easy to spot on a Timeline.
| Port | Side | What it carries |
|---|---|---|
records | In | The records to label — transactions, invoices, a forecast. |
out | Out | The same records, each with its label. |
What you choose
What the label says. The card reads set label to …, and the choice is right there in the sentence:
- A column — the counterparty, the description, the category: any column the records already carry. Each record is labelled with its own value.
- node label — the name you have given this card, written on every record alike. Name the card Payroll and every row through it says Payroll.
- nothing — no label; the records pass through as they came.
What Fluidly decides
Only how a value is written. Amounts become two decimals, dates become the date, text stays as it is. Nothing else about the records changes — not the amounts, not the balances, not the order.
If the records already have a label, it is replaced; if they have none, one is added.
Where it shows
A Timeline downstream shows the label beside each point, so a large payment, a tax day or a transfer between accounts reads by name rather than by amount. Several Set Labels feeding one Add let differently labelled streams sit on one chart and still be told apart.
The card's background and text colour are on the ⋯ menu, and the Timeline draws each label in
them — so the card and its labels on the chart look alike.
Example
Bank Account → Amount (over 100,000) → Set Label (to counterparty) → Timeline: every large movement on the account, named by who it was paid to or received from.
