Act

Email

Sends an email when its trigger turns on. Once per turn, with the figures as they stood at that moment.

PortSideWhat it carries
triggerInThe on/off that sends the email, once each time it turns on. If nothing is wired to it, nothing is sent.
toInOptional. The recipient's address, in place of the one typed on the card.
bccInOptional. A blind copy address, in place of the one typed on the card.
subjectInOptional. Text or a figure for the subject line.
bodyInOptional. Text or a figure for the body — a Text box report works well.

What you choose

Who it goes to and what it says. Type the recipient, an optional blind copy, the subject and the body on the card. Any of them can be wired instead, and a wired field takes over from what is typed; the card shows what will be sent.

The body is usually a Text box with the figures in it, so the message reads the same way the canvas does.

What Fluidly decides

When to send. The Email sends once when its trigger turns on, and not again until the trigger has gone off and come back on. A trigger that stays on for a week sends one email, not one an hour.

The figures in the message belong to the same moment as the trigger. If a balance fell under a limit, the email carries that balance — not the one from a refresh before, or after.

The card shows the time of the last send.

When it sends

Wire the condition you care about to trigger: a Range trigger for a cash floor, a Calendar for a weekly digest, a Button trigger to send by hand. To require two conditions, chain them: the first trigger's output goes to the second's enable, and the second goes to the Email.

Example

Bank Account → Range trigger (below) → Email, with Bank Account → Text box → body: an email when cash falls under the floor, with the balance in the body.
