Miscellaneous Experimental
Scatter
Plots each record as a dot and keeps the ones inside the box you draw. You choose the two measures; the records place the dots.
| Port | Side | What it carries |
|---|---|---|
records | In | The records to plot — invoices or transactions. |
filtered | Out | The records inside the box you drew — all of them while there is no box. |
What you choose
What each axis measures, and which dots you want.
Across, choose on the axis:
- All dates — every date a record carries, side by side, so an invoice shows when it was issued, fell due and was paid.
- Late payers — days between due date and payment.
- Payment terms — days between issue date and due date.
- Any column — one number against another.
Up the side, choose any number the records carry, or the counterparty. Dot size and shade can follow a third and fourth column, chosen on the card.
Then drag a box around the dots you want.
What Fluidly decides
- Where each dot sits. The records place themselves; a record without the dates a measure needs is not drawn, and is not caught by a box.
- The cut. Only whole records are kept or left out; no number changes its meaning. Running balances on each side are recalculated from the records' own opening balance.
No box passes everything. A box around empty space passes nothing on.
Example
ERP (paid invoices) → Scatter → Table, with Late payers across and counterparty up the side: a box around everything paid more than thirty days late gives the customers worth a call, one invoice per row.
